ABOUT BATAM

Batam is the largest city in the Riau Islands province, Indonesia, strategically located between the Strait of Malacca and Singapore which is one of the busiest international shipping-route. Administratively, Batam City consists of Batam Island, Rempang Island and Galang Island which are connected by Barelang Bridge, with a land area of 715 km².
Batam has been acquired Free Trade Zone status from Indonesian government. This Free Trade Zone facility can provide fiscal incentives, especially for facilitating investment and export-oriented industries. It has become a center for high-tech manufacturing and industrial development, including electronics, electrical, telecommunications, shipyard, oil and gas sectors.
The development of the manufacturing supply chain in Singapore has played a prominent role in shaping an industrial enclave in Batam. Faced with land shortages and high labor cost, Singapore takes advantage of the competitiveness of land availability and investment costs on the island.
Batam is home to numerous MNC companies from all over the world include those originated from Europe, America, Australia, Asean, Japan, Korea, and China.

LOCATION BATAM

Batam is strategically located within an international shipping route between the Indian and the Pacific Ocean. It lies only 20 km to the Southeast of Singapore which has one of the busiest seaports in the world. A ferry ride to Singapore takes only  60  minutes and approx only 25 km from Johor Bahru – Malaysia. Batam location is a huge advantage for trade and industry sectors. ​
