Dr.Mohamad Maliki Bin Visits to Panbil Industrial Estate Tembesi, PT Tanjung Piayu Makmur (TPM)

Batam, Thursday, August 22, 2024. Chairman of Panbil Group, Johanes Kennedy welcomed Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education & Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, visited Panbil Integrated Industrial Estate, PT Tanjung Piayu Makmur. This business visit is becoming the first visit from Singapore’s Government after the signing of the MOU between Sembcorp Industries with two subsidiaries of Panbil Group on August 1, 2024.

In addition to Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, this business visit was also attended by Weiming Tan as Deputy Director-General, Southeast Asia I Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore and Gavin Ang as Consul-General, Singapore Consulate-General in Batam,

Meanwhile, from Panbil Group, in addition to Johanes Kennedy, also attended were Key Executives of Panbil Group, namely Mahdian as Chief Financial Officer and Patrick Aritonang as Chief Operating Officer.

I believe the partnership between Sembcorp and Panbil as positive and mutually supportive in terms of economic and social development, with the expectation of this collaboration will enhance infrastructure to better accommodate the global market,” stated Dr. Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education & Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, in an interview.

“This visit can strengthen cooperation in various sectors, such as manufacturing, technology, industry and human resource development. Panbil is committed to continue to provide a conducive, efficient and friendly business environment for investors. Panbil also continues to provide a competitive Industrial Estate that leads to green energy by gradually increasing the energy mix until it can meet Net Zero Emission (NZE) in 2060 as set by the government.” said Johanes Kennedy as Chairman of Panbil Group.

Panbil is an integrated area located in the heart of Batam City, Riau Islands Province, with an area of 300 hectares. This area consists of industrial, commercial, and residential areas that continue to grow. Johanes Kennedy also proudly introduced the Panbil Tembesi Industrial Estate which is currently being developed with an area of 100 hectares. Located in the center of Batam City, not far from the previous Industrial Estate and with adequate infrastructure, as well as skilled

and competent workers, Panbil Tembesi offers very promising investment opportunities. It is believed that this area will be one of the driving forces in increasing Batam’s competitiveness as an industrial and trade center in Southeast Asia.
